This week and next, students schoolwide will be viewing a new February TRESmission, focusing on the "S" in T-R-E-A-S-U-R-E: Showing Strength of Heart. Students hear strategies about making positive friendship connections, staying respectful even through conflict, and speaking up if ever there is something of concern. Keep a look-out for a "KIND Kid" pledge page which will be coming home in conjunction with our launch of Kindness Week at TRES, Feb., 12-15.
K KIND Kids promise to:
I Include others
N Never tease or put down
D Do good deeds
Also, in this week's Friday Folder of your youngest or only child, you will find another "Home & School Connection" newsletter. Our February edition gives ideas for reinforcing respect with your youngster, advice on being ready for standardized tests, suggestions for building sibling bonds, tips for protecting your child online, and more. Just for fun -- Q: What do you get when you cross a rooster and a giraffe? A: An animal that can wake people on the top floor of a building.
(Corny, yes, but even little smiles matter. LOL). Take care of each other, TRES!
