Dear Retriever Families,
We are looking forward to spring and all of the upcoming events that spring brings, such as field trips, concerts, and field day! The Retriever Report, school website, and calendar will continue to be the best ways to keep up to date with all of the TRES news for this busy spring.
As a reminder, HCPSS has put together some great resources to help your child at home with math. We encourage you to take some time to explore the Math Resource Center and find some engaging activities you can do at home with your child.
Warm Regards,
Dr. Tiffany TRESler, Principal
Kory Hiel, Assistant Principal

Field Day 2026 - Volunteer Sign Up Requested by March 27th
More than 100 volunteers are needed for Field Day, May 8th (rain date of May 13th). Volunteers can Sign Up for the morning, afternoon, or all day. The morning shift is 8:45 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., and the afternoon shift is 12:45 p.m. - 3:30 pm. We are asking volunteers to please register by March 27th to allow our PE staff adequate planning time. If we do not have enough volunteers, we will make alternate plans, which would most likely reduce the event to a half day. You will receive a confirmation email from the Google Form and then an email the week before Field Day with more Volunteer Details.
When you volunteer, you will be placed at a station to lead an activity or game for the duration of your shift. If you are a full-day person, you will have two different stations. We will do our best to place you at a station through which your student will rotate. You will not be following a class. If you have multiple children, we will do our best to have as many of your children rotate through your station as we can. You will not receive an immediate confirmation; however, you will receive communication a few days prior to Field Day with your assignment.
For the safety of our students, you must complete this REQUIRED volunteer training. If you completed it last year for Field Day, you need to complete it again! Please submit by April 9th. You will not be able to volunteer if the training is not completed by this date.
Field Day Lunch Order Due by April 9th
In order to be prepared for Field Day, we need to have a count of the children who will be preordering a lunch. The two lunch options will be a vegan prepackaged bag lunch with all the components for the meal, or a hot dog with an apple and carrots. ONLY If your child will be ordering a school lunch on Field Day, complete this Order Form by Thursday, April 9th. If you have multiple children in different grades, please fill out a separate form for each child. Lunch will be the same fee as usual. If not ordering a lunch, please be sure your student brings lunch from home.
