TRES Retriever Report May 1, 2026

Message from Dr. TRESler and Mr. Hiel:

Dear Retriever Families,

Next week, May 4th-8th is Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week! We are so thankful to work with such an amazing team of educators! We are grateful for all of the many ways they go above and beyond to support our students! Thank you to our TRES PTA for putting together an amazing week of teacher and staff appreciation activities. Please consider sending some of your child’s educators a positive email or note to let them know that they make a difference. You can view the names, positions, and emails on our school website.

Thank you to the families who are talking with their children at home about what they are learning about the Zones of Regulation. Most classrooms have learned about tools to help with regulation in each zone. Check out this bridge to home connection to learn more.

Warm Regards,

Dr. Tiffany TRESler, Principal
Kory Hiel, Assistant Principal

Counselors' Corner - A Message from Mrs. Wolf and Ms. Diaz
Wear GREEN on THURSDAY, MAY 7 in support of Children's Mental Health awareness and supports!

May is recognized as National Children's Mental Health Awareness Month.  In May, and all year long, we aim to focus on the importance of taking care of social, emotional, and mental well-being to prevent and support aspects that may involve children's anxiety, depression, or other mental wellness challenges/struggles.  Across the building, we will continue with "Zones of Regulation" instruction and other Social-Emotional Learning supports in classrooms.  Additionally, students will have the chance to go on a mental wellness scavenger hunt to find tips, strategies, and tools hidden around the building. One key idea for families: limit and balance screen time with activities that promote movement, creativity, and critical thinking (no more than 2 hours of screen time per day - this includes the use of computers, phones, tablets, television, and/or gaming devices).
