Judges Needed for TRES SCH Next Week!
Triadelphia Ridge Elementary’s 2026 We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution Simulated Congressional Hearings (SCH) is scheduled for May 21, 2026, from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity for you to be involved in an inspiring and uplifting event that showcases what our students have learned. We are still in need of three more judges.
This event is a performance assessment that culminates our fifth-graders’ year of social studies instruction. The students will serve as experts on issues related to the constitution. Your role will be to simulate the role of a Congressperson by listening to students, asking questions, and providing feedback.
You do NOT need to be a constitutional scholar to be a great judge. It will be the students’ job to teach you. We will provide all the training you need on the morning of the event prior to the start of the hearings. We also have a judge training video for you to view prior to the training if you like. The civic participation of community members like you is critical to the success of the program.
To respond to this invitation, please RSVP to https://tinyurl.com/2026-SCH-Judge
Counselors' Corner - A Message from Mrs. Wolf and Ms. Diaz
Thank you to SO many who wore green earlier this month in support of National Children's Mental Health awareness. Among the many mental wellness signs students will find around the building during their scavenger hunt, one advises: Limit screen time on phones, ipads, television, computers, and gaming devices (no more than 2 hours per day in total). Get active, creative, or thinking instead! To hear more on this and see footage/celebrations from around the building, tune in to this month's 17 minute May TRESmission video... and then do a craft, read together, or go outside for a fresh-air walk in nature! 🙂
Goodbye April, Hello May TRESmission video (17 min)
