Message from Dr. TRESler and Mr. Hiel:
Dear Retriever Families,
We would like to send a big THANK YOU from all of the TRES staff for our community’s generosity in stocking our staff lounge with snacks and K-Cups last week! A special thank you to the PTA hospitality committee chairs and volunteers for organizing the goodies and setting them up in the lounge.
Another big THANK YOU goes out to PTA and Restoration Roofing Co. for providing every student and staff member with a TRES spiritware shirt! We are extremely grateful and excited to wear them to show our TRES pride!
We feel so fortunate to be a part of such a supportive community!
Warm Regards,
Dr. Tiffany TRESler, Principal
Kory Hiel, Assistant Principal

Vaccination Clinics
Due to extenuating circumstances, HCPSS will not offer in-school seasonal flu or COVID vaccination clinics this year. Parents/guardians are encouraged to contact their child’s pediatrician for vaccination information, or consider accessing vaccinations from local pharmacies, urgent care centers, retail stores, etc. Additionally, the Howard County Health Department will offer free flu shots at various community events this fall.
Please Update Your Student/Family Emergency Information If You Have Not Already Completed!
Parents/guardians must verify and/or update the Family File emergency information for each child every school year. Parents/guardians, access and complete Family File by logging in to HCPSS Connect, selecting Online Registration/Family File at the top right of the page and then selecting Family File Verification.

Counselors' Corner - A Message from Mrs. Wolf and Ms. Diaz
At TRES, we constantly are on the look-out, aiming to reinforce positives with specific praise, treasure tickets, compliments, and special acknowledgement. Today marks our third week spotting outstanding students for a "Retriever Award!" If your child is spotted, their name is highlighted during morning announcements, a special bulletin board photo is taken (with photo permissions), a dog tag is received, and a certificate and special recess opportunity follows before the close of the month. Stay tuned for more celebrations during our monthly TRESmission video that is released, usually at the start of each month. If you missed our welcome back video message, CLICK HERE. This 11-minute installment gives a chance to see friendly faces and spaces from around the building.
Lunch Visitors
To establish routines, we ask that families who may be planning to join their students for a lunch period wait until October to visit. Thank you in advance for your understanding and please remember that all lunch visitors must also complete the Visitor/Volunteer Training (see below).
Volunteer Training Required Every Year for all Visitors and Volunteers - Take 5 Minutes to Complete Now and You're Set for the Year!
COMPLETE THIS GOOGLE DOC (no paperwork required). Anyone volunteering at school in any capacity, and parents joining their children for lunch, are required to complete volunteer training prior to their first visit every school year. Thank you in advance for your gifts of service and time.
