STUDENT LEAD CONFERENCES/PICKATIME:
It is hard to believe but it will soon be time to schedule our second round of student lead conferences. Conferences are being held on February 15th and February 16th with students' math teachers. A letter with specific details will go home with all students the week of January 23. The TRES pick-A-time website for conference sign-up will open later next week - http://www.hcpss.org/#pat

Take The Waste-Free Challenge!  Every school day TRES students fill about 6 barrels of trash in the cafeteria.  The TRES fourth grade Enviro-Kids would like to reduce this amount by challenging TRES students who bring lunches from home to pack a waste-free lunch on each Wednesday, beginning on January 25, throughout the remainder of the school year. This is a voluntary challenge and can be accomplished by using reusable containers for sandwiches, snacks, drinks, etc.  We are a Green School. Let’s make TRES even GREENER and more Earth Friendly!

We are fortunate to have mosaic artist-in-residence, Sue Stockman, coming to create pieces with our students during the month of February. In anticipation of the upcoming project please begin collecting any broken plates, mugs, mirrors, etc. that can be incorporated into our final works. Please send them in to the Silver Bucket Studio in either a brown paper bag or a box for safe keeping.
