Message from Dr. TRESler and Mr. Hiel:
Dear Retriever Families,
First, we'd like to thank our TRES PTA, our community, and especially the TRES PTA staff appreciation volunteers who hosted a “wickedly awesome” staff appreciation week for our team! We are so grateful for the lunches, snacks, games, and gifts and feel truly lucky to be a part of such a generous and caring community! Many thanks also to all the awesome volunteers who helped make our Field Day a success for our students. Our PE team worked hard to plan the best day possible despite the recent rainy weather.
We are excited to see our families at the TRES PTA Retriever Rally this evening from 6:30-8:00 p.m. It’s one of our favorite events of the year, rain or shine, as we love to see our community come together to celebrate another school year! We are so thankful for our PTA members and the Retriever Rally chair and committee for volunteering so much time to make this event special for our students and families. The Retriever Rally would not be possible without them! Read more about the Retriever Rally in the PTA news below.
This afternoon our teachers will be working on articulation for the 2025-2026 school year. They started the process at the end of April, will continue through the end of the school year, and revisit it again when the teachers return in August. Our teachers and the members of the student and instructional support teams put in countless hours to create homeroom classes. We strive to create balanced and diverse classes to support students’ academic and social/emotional needs. The classes are created first and then later assigned a homeroom teacher based on many factors, including, but not limited to the teachers’ experience in working with students of various learning needs. Due to this process to support all students, we are not able to accommodate requests for specific teachers or placement with specific other students. Should you have any questions about the articulation process, do not hesitate to contact us.
Warm Regards,
Dr. Tiffany TRESler, Principal
Kory Hiel, Assistant Principal

Things are spinning fast at this time of year! With today's "Wear Green" for Mental Health Awareness, the Retriever Rally Luau, and other upcoming special events/activities, busy families need to remember to hang in there! You can slow things down as a family to enjoy the May TRESmission video together, linked below. In it, you'll hear about entering into the final quarter with enthusiasm and focus, using 1-2-3 Magic for reminders/accountability. You'll also have the chance to see recent Retriever Award winners, the Columbia Mall art display, and Battle of the Books pictures! All through the month, students can complete a mental health "Scavenger Hunt" with an opportunity to read tips, strategies, and perhaps earn a small prize for participating. Enjoy!
