Wed, 12/12/2018 - 5:38pm’Tis the season for being oh so busy- at home and here at school. Our calendars are filling with many fun, yet time consuming activities. An excellent way for you and your children to savor the precious moments as well as navigate some extreme emotions during this time of the year is through mindfulness. Mindfulness is the state of being aware of the present moment. This happens when we notice and accept what is going on with our feelings, body, and surroundings without judgement. Through mindfulness practice and exercises, children and adults can learn to regulate their emotions. Mindfulness is the framework for living purposefully in your actions and feelings.

Thu, 11/29/2018 - 5:38pmWe live in a world surrounded by technology. We know that whatever field our students choose to go into as adults, their ability to succeed will increasingly hinge on understanding how technology works. But only a tiny fraction of us are learning computer science, and fewer students are studying it than a decade ago. That’s why next week students are learning about coding.
Sun, 11/25/2018 - 2:55pmThank you to the HCPSS photographer, Nick Griner, for coming out to capture these memories during our Veterans Day Ceremony.
