Wed, 05/09/2018 - 6:07pmMay is Mental Health Awareness month. Please reach out if you or someone you know needs help. Difficulties with social and emotional functioning, including mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts, attention, impulsivity and self-regulation problems, can sometimes interfere with children (and adults) demonstrating positive social behaviors and optimal school and/or work performance. Healthy social-emotional development benefits all children, and is linked to academic success and future achievement. Mental health conditions can begin to develop in young children and affect their well-being.
