Wed, 02/28/2018 - 5:05pmIn the Friday Folder of your youngest/only student, you'll find a March Home & School Connection newsletter. This installment features ideas for encouraging springtime success with standardized tests, ways to help build sibling bonds, ideas for protecting children online, and tips for encouraging kids to understand and show respect. Just for fun - Q: What do you get when you cross a rooster and a giraffe? A: An animal that can wake people on the top floor of a building. Also, to further the important messages we deliver about showing RESPECT to ALL, students this week and next are viewing a new TRESmission video broadcast with a focus on the U in T-R-E-A-S-U-R-E: Unique and Proud. In addition to enjoying student recognition, trait review, and footage from around the building, students hear an important message about celebrating differences. "Everybody's Different. Expect It, Respect It!"
Fri, 02/16/2018 - 10:09amWith classroom lessons, mascot visits, special videos, morning announcements, Kind Kid pledges, new bulletin boards, kindness chains, and more-- we've been smiling and BUSY celebrating Kindness Week at TRES. Our school climate has been upbeat and positive, but we acknowledge how very troubling it is to hear and see the news of another act of violence in an American school. We continue to keep Florida educators, students, and the community as a whole in our thoughts as they begin their journey toward healing and rebuilding. If you are looking for ways to support your child, feel free to visit the resources and hotlines portion of Mrs. Wolf's website. Look for the "Tragedy Coping Tips" at https://mrswolfschoolcounselor.weebly.com/resources-and-hotlines.html
